Euxeinos is a double-blind peer reviewed academic journal. All articles submitted to Euxeinos undergo a two-step review process: In the first step, guest editors initiate and submit a specific issue to Euxeinos. Prospective guest editors are welcome to present their suggested topics to the editorial team. The guest editors chose authors and scholars for the publication. In the second step, all articles run through a double-blind peer review facilitated through the academic journal software "Scholastica." The Euxeinos editorial team consists of Prof. Dr. Dirk Lehmkuhl, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Schmid, Dr. Sandra King-Savic and Dr. Oleksii Chebotarov. The managing editor is Elena Natenadze, M.A.
Euxeinos is the member of the Crossref, therefore every article published in Euxeinos receives its unique DOI and allows authors to connect their content with a global network of online scholarly research. Euxeinos follows the Open Access guidelines set forth by the Principals' Conference of the Swiss Universities (CRUS), the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), and the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences (SAHS) - which implies that contributions to Euxeinos are free, digital, and immediately accessible online. Journal contributions are protected and subject to copyright that ensures the right of authors, and guarantees non-interference in their conduct of scientific research, and teaching. Euxeinos' authors are explicitly expected to self-archive their publications: pre-prints, post-prints, and publisher's version. Euxeinos is licensed under CC BY-NC-ND.
We welcome all interested candidates to submit the thematic proposal of the Euxeinos issue (maximum 3 pages) to firstname.lastname@example.org. The proposal must include: a title of the thematic issue, the name(s) of the guest editor(s) and authors, their academic affiliation and field of research; a short text demonstrating the originality of the proposal; a table of content; an outline or an abstract of each article (minimum five articles); and the date of submission of all texts.
As a guest editor you will be working closely with the editorial team; you are free to define the topic of the issue and to choose authors according to your own concept of what might be informatively discussed in an issue with five or more articles. Furthermore, as a guest editor, you are welcome to write a preface (editorial) to the issue. Guest editors are responsible for the concept of the issue and should edit the submitted papers in terms of scholarly content.
All articles submitted for publication should be written in English. The proof reading will be provided by Euxeinos based on the reviewers’ recommendation at the final stage of the publication process.
All articles submitted for Euxeinos must be written according to the Chicago Manual Style 17 edition.
Euxeinos has its formatting template, so articles should be kept simple: fonts Time New Roman, single-spaced, and using only italics and bold print, where necessary.
You should submit manuscripts only in Word. Before submitting, please be sure your paper has all sections: an abstract (max. 100 words), keywords (5-8), and the main text. Also, please remove all your personal information, like name, e-mail, and affiliation.
After your article has been approved for publication, you will receive a notification from Euxeinos. In addition, for the final publication, you must submit information about the author (max. 250 words). The author’s biography must include their affiliation, degree, and recent publications (selection 1-3, if not in English – an English translation and an original title).
