Decentralisation reform in Ukraine

My experience includes research positions in academic and analytical institutions, focusing on data analysis and regional policy studies, as well as collaboration with the Parliament of Ukraine and the Government on the development of legislative initiatives related to decentralization reform and support for local territorial communities.

• Researcher at Kyiv School of Economics (2024-2026): conducting qualitative and quantitative research on decentralization, citizen participation, and post-war recovery; developing research methodologies; contributing to analytical reports; part of the international BRIDGE project, implemented by a consortium including Kyiv School of Economics, University of Tartu, Technical University of Berlin, and Erasmus University Rotterdam, supporting participatory decision-making in Ukrainian communities.
• Lecturer at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (2024-2026): teaching a course on local government.
• Researcher at Frontier Institute (2024-2025): conducted research on security sector development and institutional resilience in Ukraine.
• Policy analyst and Head of the Decentralization Direction at the Agency for Legislative Initiatives (2021-2024): led research projects on local governance and regional development; developed methodologies; conducted field research; prepared analytical reports and legislative impact assessments for national stakeholders, including the Parliament of Ukraine and the Government. 

Presentations at international academic conferences (including Germany, Italy, Finland, the USA, Estonia, Morocco and the United Kingdom) on decentralization, governance, and reform processes in Ukraine.
